Ilmberger uses high-grade pre-impregnated carbon fibre matrices. The fibre volume is optimised and the orientation of each layer precisely defined. The matrix is hand-laminated bubble-free and double-coated with a protective finish. A clear lacquer coat adds further protection and highlights the three-dimensional carbon weave. After curing in an autoclave, the components meet the highest demands and withstand extreme loads.

This aerospace-grade material offers up to 70% weight savings compared to the OEM part, along with outstanding stiffness-to-weight performance. The form follows function and integrates seamlessly into the motorcycle’s design. It harmonises with the surrounding materials and finishes.
