The heel guard for the BMW R 1300 GS by Ilmberger Carbon is an impressive addition to your motorcycle

Thanks to its exceptionally large size, it provides optimal protection and safety for your heels. The high-quality carbon material not only gives the component a sporty look but also a luxurious appearance. The heel guard perfectly matches the frame protector, creating a harmonious overall look. The name Ilmberger stands for the highest quality and innovation in carbon manufacturing. Each part is produced in-house, using prepreg specially developed for Ilmberger as the base material. This is processed in a complex procedure in an autoclave, offering numerous advantages. Prepreg, a pre-impregnated carbon fabric, is characterised by an even resin distribution while also having a high fibre volume content. This results in maximum strength and increases the flexibility of the components. Processing in an autoclave, a high-pressure oven that operates under controlled temperature and pressure conditions, ensures perfect, even curing and a flawless surface. This method prevents air pockets in the material and ensures consistently high quality of the parts.
